1.
Aiden Pearce - Watch Dogs: Pearce is supposed to be this genius programmer and hacker out for vengeance and determined to protect his family, but really he comes off as dumb and dull. His decision making is terrible and always just ends up complicating things. Instead of aligning with key characters that could make his life easier, he chooses to go things alone like he’s Batman and gets his sister kidnapped because of it. For such a smart guy he makes pretty stupid decisions. -
2.
Arno Dorian - Assassins Creed: Anyone who's played Assassin’s Creed knows Assassins and Templars have never been, and will never be friends, yet somehow Arno, a member of the Assassins Brotherhood missed that memo when he decided to fall in love….with a templar. When it comes to dumb decisions, that one takes the cake. -
3.
Booker DeWitt - Bioshock: Booker is your typical protagonist that thinks he’s the good guy and somehow has amnesia that prevents him from realizing the atrocities he committed in the past. Much as Booker tries to act like he’s so great and sanctimonious, he’s just as corrupt as the people he’s fighting against. His writing is pretty poor and his character moments show just how shallow he really is. He’s only saving Elizabeth for a paycheck, not because he cares. -
4.
Vincent Brooks - Catherine: Vincent is an idiot, he’s got a woman ready to marry him as long as he’s willing to get his act together yet decides that the pressure is too much so he goes out and sleeps with another woman that has the same name. Vincent literally has the simplest problem in the world, all he has to do is choose, do I want to commit, or not? And instead, he launches himself down a rabbit hole of depression, misery, and complicated choices that don’t need to be so damn complicated. All he has to do is decide whether or not he wants a relationship. -
5.
Chloe Price - Life is Strange: Chloe is your typical teen that hates her life and thinks everything is so inconvenient because her hormones are raging. I get it, life is hard, especially when you’re trying to figure out who you are and how you really feel about the world. But Chloe and her refusal to listen to anyone else, cause's her best friend, Rachel to be killed. And somehow Chloe thinks it’s a good idea to blame someone that had nothing to do with the situation for Rachel’s death. Brightly colored as her hair might be, Chloe isn’t the brightest crayon in the box. -

7.
Ryuji - Persona 5: In Persona 5, the Phantom Thieves are quite literally being hunted by the Japanese police and the government. When people are hunting you down and trying to kill you or send you to prison, it’s best to lay low, be quiet and not cause any trouble, right? Somehow that doesn’t get in Ryuji’s head, because he decides to yell and scream at the top of his lungs that, not only is he a member of the Phantom Thieves, but he’s also friends with the rest of them. At any point in time, if the wrong person had heard Ryuji being an idiot Persona 5 could have ended a lot sooner than its 135 hour run time. -

9.
Noctis - Final Fantasy XV: Just because you’re the heir to the throne doesn’t mean you deserve it. Noctis in Final Fantasy XV is nothing more than an entitled, spoiled child that thinks the world revolves around him. He spends the entire game moping around and complaining that things don’t go his way instead of realizing how simple it would be to take his father’s throne back and revitalize his kingdom. Some Prince, Noctis turned out to be. -
10.
Gabe - The Walking Dead Season 3: The only thing worse than a zombie apocalypse is a whiny brat in a zombie apocalypse. Gabe is the definition of spoiled. Instead of stepping up, to try, and help his family survive, he whines, cries, and complains. He ends up being dead weight and trying to care for him is impossible, because he’s just an idiot. -
11.
Jason Brody - Farcry 3: Jason never stops complaining about how hard his life is. He’s your typical frat boy that’s living off of Daddy’s money who ends up getting stuck on a remote island trying to survive. A difficult situation for anyone, sure, but he decides that he’ll just become a weapons expert and the leader of a native tribe with absolutely no training and no knowledge of what he’s trying to do. He makes horrible decisions that end up getting his friends killed and somehow manages to avoid responsibility for it. -
12.
Kronika - Mortal Kombat 11: Kronika is the definition of poor decision making. She’s somehow got the ability to bend time to her will, she’s essentially a Goddess, and she can use her abilities to make sure no one gets in her way. Yet still, she manages to choose the most inept men and women to serve under her command. All the while, neglecting to think about the fighters that would be the biggest threat to her and her plans. For a supposed Goddess that can control time, it seems she doesn’t see very far ahead into the future. -
13.
Nadine Ross - Uncharted: Nadine falls victim to the typical victim trap, being too stupid to kill her enemies. She monologues on and on about how great she is and how smart she is and how she’s outwitted Drake at every turn, instead of just putting a bullet in his head. If she’d just kill Drake, or Sully, or Elena, hell, if she’d kill all of them, Nadine would have had no problem finding the treasure and having all the power she wanted. But she decided to run her mouth, and it cost her everything. -
14.
Tony Stark - Avengers: On a day the Avengers were planning to unveil their energy source to the world, instead of helping people, they ended up hurting them when Terrigen got loose. Tony always loves to brag about how much smarter than everyone else he is, and somehow he completely missed how unsafe Terrigen was. His arrogance and dumb decision making cost people their lives and cost the Avengers their livelihood. -
15.
Locke - Halo 5: Master Chief was bred for combat and somehow Jameison Lock really thought he’d be able to fight Chief and win. Locke was a poorly developed and poorly written character who was always two steps behind everyone else. He doesn’t know what he’s doing or why, his dialogue makes him sound like a child chasing his idol around, not knowing what he’ll say when he finally gets to meet Chief face to face. Locke is an embarrassment. -
16.
Arkham Knight - Batman Arkham Knight: “Did you know that I can see you?” That’s the question anyone that knows anything about Batman will be asking the second they see the Arkham Knight for the first time. It’s painfully obvious who’s really under the mask and what their character motivations are. The Knight’s dialogue is painful and stiff and it makes him sound like a petty child instead of a criminal mastermind. It’s hard to take the guy seriously, especially when you know he’s really Jason Todd. -
17.
Phin - Miles Morales: Phin may have been accepted into some of the top schools in New York, but her decision making shows she didn’t really deserve to be there. Instead of trying to work with Miles to take down the corporation that killed her brother, she chooses to take vengeance on Miles and the entirety of New York, claiming that Miles lied to her and hid things from her when he never did. She was just too blinded by her hatred to realize the mistakes she was making.
